Each session features an article from Foreign Affairs. Through close reading, thematic discussions, and commentary writing, students explore key global political, socio-economic, and diplomatic issues, cultivating critical thinking and comprehensive international perspective.

Humanities & Personal Competency
Taught by Hanlong (Gavin) Xiao
Focused on global historical research, this course features intensive textual analysis to strengthen academic writing skills. Students learn to swiftly grasp core arguments, construct frameworks, present their argumentative logic, and express precise and well-supported conclusions. This course establishes a great foundation for standardized tests and future university-level writings.

Lantian received his Bachelor's and Masters' Degrees from MIT. He was selected into China's National Team for the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad and subsequently won a Gold Medal.
